Meet our staff Dr Indiketiya Darshana graduated in Bachelor of Dental Science in 2006 at the University of Peradeniya (Sri Lanka) and has been working in Australia since 2015. He has a special interest in orthodontics (aligners and braces) and dental implants. He offers a wide range of dental services as well as various options to manage pain and dental anxiety. Dr Indiketiya speaks English and Sinhalese. During his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, cricket, travelling and spending time with his wife Chandi and his daughter Dinuki. Dr Eimear Short started her dental career in 2018 after graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours from the University of Dundee. She is also a member of the College of General Dentistry, the Scottish Dental Study Club and the British Dental Association.

Dr Short has a keen interest in treating anxious patients and extractions after spending some time practicing emergency dentistry. Dr Short loved her dentist experience growing up. In school Dr Short discovered her love for science and, together with her empathetic nature, she steered towards a career in dentistry. Dentistry has allowed Dr Short to meet many new people, she loves working as part of a team and enjoys the camaraderie and companionship that comes with it.

Dr Short is a good listener and a caring dentist, which helps with treating anxious patients and children. She is passionate about equal accessibility to dental care and strives to ensure patients feel listened to and taken care of. When not tending to patients, Dr Short loves being outdoors and indulging in activities such as running, hill climbing and swimming.
Dr Rebecca Undery graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and a Graduate Diploma of Dentistry. Rebecca is a general dentist and is passionate about preventative dental care. She has practiced in North Queensland and the Gold Coast and has been with Bupa Dental Capri since 2015. In her spare time, you’ll find Rebecca enjoying the beautiful Gold Coast beaches. Dr Nilly Rahimi graduated from Griffith University on the Gold Coast with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Graduate Diploma in Dentistry. A local to the Gold Coast, she completed primary, secondary and tertiary schooling here before moving and working in Newcastle for 4 years then returning to the Gold Coast. Dr Nilly enjoys all fields of general dentistry, particularly, restorative and aesthetic dentistry. Her primary goal is to provide comprehensive dental care, as well as having a passion for continued self-growth and education as a Dentist. Her ability to empathise with people makes patients more at ease, and enables her to develop a good rapport with all, particularly those who are anxious. Dr Mitra Rahimi grew up on the Gold Coast and graduated from Griffith University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Graduate Diploma in Dentistry. Her sister – Dr Nilly Rahimi – also works at Bupa Dental Capri. Dr Mitra enjoys working in general and preventative dentistry and loves treating children to encourage good oral health habits early and relieve any fears by giving a calm dental experience. She is kind and extremely patient and always greets her patients with a warm, friendly smile. Outside of dentistry, Dr Mitra has a passion for fashion and loves shopping! She also enjoys spending time with family and friends. Dr. Chandima graduated from Griffith University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Oral Health and a Master of Dentistry. Since then, she has worked for private practices across Gold Coast, performing all aspects of general dentistry, while especially enjoying the challenges of oral surgery.

Personally, Dr. Chandima aims to ensure that each and every patient is comfortable and pain free, so they can leave the practice with the best possible experience. In her free time she likes to go hiking, cook spicy Sri Lankan food and cherish time with her teenage daughter.
